About

Introducing Myself:
My name is Maurizio Gabbi, and I am a Brand Management student at IULM University in Milan.
I graduated in 2011 in Public Relations and Business Communication, discussing my thesis "Carvertising: short guide to 50 years evolution of Italian automotive advertising's communication".
This blog (as my thesis project) was simply born from the merging between my passions for automotive, marketing and advertising.

Introducing Carvertising:
As above mentioned, this blog was born from a homonymous thesis idea: it was just an 'online support' where to collect the analyzed advertisings and keep them available in every moment.
Ok, but what do I really mean with 'Carvertising' in the written project?
I start from the aristotelian principle 'The whole is greater than the sum of its parts', so that you could see 'Carvertising' as a key that you can use to read the automotive, considering the studied phenomena in its totality, taking care of every details like a planet in a constantly evolving universe.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank professor Paolo Sbuttoni, who followed me during the thesis writing, my thesis supervisor professor Augusto Felipe Sylwan, and the whole Quattroruote staff, in particular the magazine's director Carlo Cavicchi, the archive's manager Guido Traccanella, thank to whom I had the possibility to analyze a great number of ads (in the Ads section).
After my graduation, this blog started to grow up: it has became more dynamic and constantly updated trying to take the (other side of) automotive to the main.
I hope to contribute to knowledge diffusion of an increasingly complex universe.
